FAQS

About Rose Method

The Rose Method is the name given to a special set of therapy tools and to a new approach to therapy. We describe the Rose Method as the fastest and most effective way to permanently change your emotional state. Do you want to change how you feel about something or someone, or how you feel in a particular context? The Rose Method can do that – results guaranteed!

The Rose Method tools include “de-armouring,” and “acknowledgement.” The structure of the Rose Method is a series of processes to identify the correct issue to work on, to find the underlying cause of a problem, and to find the emotional causes of physical health problems.

The Rose Method (and its predecessor, RPT) were developed by Simon Rose and a group of experts from different fields. A very wide range of therapies, books, techniques and spiritual insights contributed to the development of the Rose Method. They are too many to name here; acknowledgement is given where appropriate in the RPT books and manuals.

The original RPT was developed in Australia, as a blend of Australian and American techniques. After moving to Russia (from 2011-2015), Simon learned and integrated a wide range of Russian personal development techniques and strategies (or European techniques that were not popular in Australia and the USA). The final version of RPT, launched in 2017, is a unique product inspired by the best therapies from all around the world.

RPT (or Reference Point Therapy) was a technique launched by Simon Rose in 2008. Over time the technique evolved until the current version has nothing at all in common with the 2008 version. Unfortunately, not all RPT practitioners have updated to the latest approach. This means that different practitioners are using different methods with different results. In the best interests of our students and clients, we felt that a fresh start was appropriate. RPT Practitioners can be updated to the latest Rose Method approach using either our online courses or by assisting in-person at our training workshops.

There are many therapies making similar claims. The key differentiating point of the Rose Method is that we get permanent results. No other therapy can claim this. In addition there are some types of problems which are considered by psychologists to be difficult or impossible to treat, yet can be very quickly resolved with the Rose Method. For example, the Rose Method is extremely effective at treating a range of self-sabotage behaviours including procrastination, addictions, co-dependency, poor choice of partner, financial sabotage, and so on.

The problem of secondary gain (receiving a hidden benefit from your disease or problem) is one of the biggest problems in medicine and psychology. It’s the reason that most people don’t get better. RPT solves this problem with a simple process for changing secondary gains. This means that almost anyone with any problem can get better through a combination of the Rose Method and conventional medicine or surgery – RPT removes the emotional sabotage allowing medical treatment to work at its maximum effectiveness.

To the best of our knowledge and evidence, the results gained through a Rose Method session are permanent. That means, if you feel good after the session you’ll feel good (in the same precise context or situation) the next day, the next week, and the next year (etc). Unlike every other technique or therapy, the Rose Method does not give you a short term euphoric (feel-good) effect which wears off after a short time.

In precise psychological terms, the Rose Method is the first technique which is not a “bypass.” A bypass is a tool for solving a problem or navigating your way around a problem without clearing the source of a problem. Almost all psychological, medical and alternative healing tools are a bypass. That is to say, a problem can be “cut out” (physically, emotionally or energetically) without healing the source of the problem. For example a surgeon can cut out a cancerous tumour, but there’s a very high chance it will come back.

There are simple test which you can use to see whether a given therapy is a bypass or not. To the best of our knowledge, the Rose Method is the only technique that embraces these tests are part of the technique – the session isn’t finished until we’ve tested for permanence.

This issue of permanence is the central design premise of the Rose Method. You can read more about the concept of a bypass and how to test for it

The Rose Method is a blend of tools (or techniques) and what we call structure (our approach to therapy). The tools are very simple and are all taught on the Level 1 course. They can be taught within an hour.

The most important part of the Rose Method is the structure. It’s like the difference between having a hammer and knowing where to hit with a hammer. The technique is extremely simple. But it takes some time to know how to use it. For example, it’s simple to heal or resolve trauma using the Rose Method, but it takes time to learn which trauma to heal. (Only a very small percent of traumas actually create symptoms, and to find the trauma creating your specific symptom is a special skill. We call this the structure of the Rose Method).

All of the techniques are taught on our Level 1 course. The structure is taught progressively over Level 1, 2 and 3 courses. Each course teaches different structures for use in different applications (such as addictions, depression, anxiety, physical symptoms, etc).

The Rose Method is heavily influenced by psychotherapy, but the Rose Method itself is not psychotherapy. In particular, the Rose Method is not strictly a “talking therapy.” In psychotherapy the client usually achieves some improvement through insight (which might come from something the therapist says) or through words spoken by the client. Just talking about things is a useful tool in psychotherapy. Neither of these things are required in the Rose Method. It’s not the practitioner’s task to make insights or distinctions (though it can happen). And it isn’t necessary for the client to talk much. In fact, we ask the client to talk as little as possible.

The Rose Method works as a highly structured guided process. The client starts by nominating a symptom or problem. The therapist guides the client through a series of questions designed to find the cause of the problem. The cause is usually something unconscious or forgotten. It may be a childhood trauma but not the sort of trauma which a client would tell a psychologist about if they were recounting their childhood.

The Rose Method is not related to Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). There is some overlap in the intention of both techniques (to find the cause of problems). As a result both techniques use a time line approach. However the approach taken in the Rose Method is not Time Line Therapy (a tool used in NLP). Apart from this small overlap, the tools of the Rose Method and NLP are unrelated. Many of our students have also studied NLP and they use the correct tool for each task. For example, NLP has more speciality focus on communication and linguistics. Rose Method is mostly non-verbal and is more specialised to permanently changing emotional states.

Rose Method is not related to spiritual healing, energy healing or related techniques. There is no transmission of invisible energies. And whilst our results surely look “magical,” we assure you that there is no magic or trickery involved. All of our work can be explained by science and psychology.

We mean no disrespect to people who believe in spiritual healing and energies. We promise you though that once you see what can be achieved “without magic” you will re-consider your approach to such techniques.

The Rose Method is not a religious or spiritual technique. There is some underlying spiritual philosophy which guided the development of the technique. This includes a Tantric philosophy of non-dualism. The Rose Method practices themselves are not based on any spiritual or religious premise.

On the Level 2 course there is an exercise described as Emergence of the Soul. This is the only quasi-spiritual exercise within the Rose Method. If your personal spiritual beliefs allow for the existence of the soul, then this exercise allows you to explore that. However if you are an atheist then you are encouraged to regard the soul as a metaphorical exercise that allows for the dissolution of unhealthy ego. The exercise works on a metaphorical level – the results of the exercise are the same for people who believe in the soul and those that don’t.

There are some limitations to the application of the Rose Method. In particular, the Rose Method requires a person to feel feelings, instincts and changes in their body. If a person is completely disconnected from feelings, they may be unable to do the Rose Method process. We estimate that about 1-2% of the population have this problem. If you know that you can’t feel feelings or instincts in your body, please advise a Rose Method practitioner or trainer before booking into a consultation or seminar. There may be exercises we can recommend to you or alternatives we can suggest which can help you. For people in this category, the Rose Method is a useful tool but not the first tool they need in their healing journey.

The Rose Method is best described as a technique for healing trauma and permanently changing emotional states. There are physical symptoms or diseases processes that are largely psychosomatic or otherwise caused by or related to emotional states. Examples include headaches, migraines, back, neck and shoulder pain, a wide range of muscular-skeletal problems, and some auto-immune problems. That is not a complete list, just an indication. In our experience, if an emotional state or trauma was a trigger for the disease process then a change in that state can often lead to a reversal of the process.

Quite clearly not all physical problems are caused by emotional states. The Rose Method can still help in these cases by changing the client’s emotional outlook and removing secondary gains or self-sabotage behavior. The Rose Method can help a client undergoing chemotherapy, surgery or other medical procedures to have a positive outlook and maximise the chances of success of their medical treatment.

The Rose Method is suitable for treating a wide range of emotional problems and some physical problems. In broad and non-scientific terms, the Rose Method helps basically “normal” people to become extraordinary people. In other words, we can help 90-95% of humanity to improve their emotional states.

The Rose Method is not effective for people with mental illness. Most of our trainers are not medical specialists. We lack the specialist skills and training for treating people with mental illness such as schizophrenia, manic depression or serious personality disorders. If you have a serious mental disorder you should not book into a Rose Method seminar or consultation. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your personal situation or diagnosis if you are concerned whether the Rose Method is the right tool for you.

We estimate the success rate of the Rose Method to be above 95%. This is based on controlled trials with motivated clients who were not paying money for the sessions.

The real world results can vary greatly. For example, a given problem might require three sessions in order to get excellent results. However, the client might decide after one or two sessions to discontinue the treatment. This makes it very hard to assess the real world success of the Rose Method. We are currently working to design independent research tests to better estimate the real word success rate.

If you are booking a Rose Method consultation, we encourage you to ask your practitioner how many sessions they estimate will be required. We then ask you to commit upfront to participating in that many sessions. For example, if the practitioner estimates you will need five sessions to get excellent results, please do not quit the process or form a negative view if you did not get the desired results in one or two sessions. Follow the recommended guidelines and will will get you as close to the 95% success rate as possible.

The Rose Method is not a form of hypnosis. You will not be in an altered state at any time during the session.

Consultations

In a private consultation you and a qualified practitioner will work together to change your emotional state. At the start of the session you will nominate certain symptoms (physical, emotional or spiritual) that you want to change. You’ll specify the context in which you experience those symptoms (e.g. I get headaches at work), and you will work together to clear the benefits (secondary gains) of those symptoms and the causes of those symptoms. Where possible you will keep working until both you and the practitioner believe that all the symptoms have been resolved within the specified context.

Almost all emotional and spiritual problems, and a very wide range of physical problems, can be resolved in a private consultation. To be very precise: Rose Method is a highly effect set of tools for permanently changing your emotional state in a specified context or environment. This means that any symptoms which are caused or triggered by trauma or by your emotional state can be resolved with Rose Method.

Most (almost all) emotional and spiritual problems are caused by trauma and by different emotional states. They can be treated with the Rose Method. However certain mental illnesses, especially those caused by neurological problems (imbalances of brain chemistry) cannot be treated with the Rose Method.

Many physical problems are psychosomatic or caused by emotional stress, trauma or conflict. These conditions improve rapidly after a Rose Method session. There is no fixed list of which conditions are or are not caused by emotional states because every person and every disease is different. However we can generalise that muscular-skeletal pain, headaches or migraines, over or under active immune system (including susceptibility to viruses) and even heart function and circulation have a very large emotional component. Please note that Rose Method is a complementary therapy – if you are seeing a doctor, we will work with your doctor to maximise the success of any conventional therapy by removing emotional blocks to your recovery.

Rose Method can quickly and easily change your emotional state in a specified context. The “specified context” is important. For example, if you ask the therapist to resolve your issue of headaches when you go to work, the therapist will identify your emotional triggers at work and resolve them. You should never again have this problem. However, it is possible that you will have a headache again – somewhere else. For example your parents in law may suddenly visit and you develop a headache. This does not mean that the initial session was unsuccessful; it means that you have different triggers in different contexts. We recommend that if you have a problem that occurs in more than one environment, you list as many of these as possible to the therapist.

Some clients cannot feel anything – they cannot name or describe their emotions or experience a change in emotional states. These clients usually find Rose Method difficult or frustrating. They can be helped, but it is a much slower process.

Not all physical disease processes or injuries are caused by emotional states. However we find that most clients have a better outlook or better chance of recovery after an consultation.

If you are undecided about whether to learn Rose Method or experience a session, we generally recommend you to learn the course. On each course you will receive (and give) several processes and you can experience changes for yourself. It is empowering to learn the technique and to be able to quickly change your own emotional states.

That said, if you are currently experiencing a serious illness or have significant blocks to learning or a significant emotional crises (such as going through a divorce), we strongly recommend that you choose a private session before doing a course. That is because the Rose Method course assume people have a generally stable emotional state (not perfect but stable enough to learn and help others). Some people do benefit much more from a private session than from the seminar as they are able to resolve their personal problems with an expert. After the session they are in a much better state from which to learn Rose Method and participate in the course.

If you have a specific problem that you want to address with an expert, we recommend you choose the practitioner or trainer that you feel most guided to work with. On the seminars you will work with other students (trainee practitioners). There is no guarantee as to the quality of the outcome of individual sessions (we only guarantee the quality of the material which is taught). There are also some limitations on what type of symptoms you can work on in class (for example, physical symptoms aren’t covered on Level 1 and 2). Therefore it is often best to choose a private session with a leading therapist, either before or after learning the Rose Method.

The average client has two sessions. Many people with clearly defined emotional problems have just one session. And many people with physical symptoms require three (or very rarely more than three sessions). After you’ve chosen a therapist, write to them in detail about your symptoms and ask them to estimate how many sessions are required.

We ask you to make a commitment to complete the recommended number of sessions. For example, if the therapists says that 2-3 sessions will be required, please commit to this. Don’t quit the process after one session because you didn’t see results if you’ve been advised that it can take two or three sessions to see the full results. Our success rate is over 95% for people who complete the process.

Some practitioners prefer short sessions focusing on just one symptom in one context. This can require 30-60 minutes depending on the client. Other practitioners (such as Simon, the founder of Rose Method) prefer to work on as much as possible in a session. This mean multiple symptoms in all contexts or environments that the client can think of. As a result the session can go for 2 – 2.5 hours.

Rose Method sessions can be done in person or via Skype (or telephone or other messaging app). Most therapists prefer to work via Skype but this does vary. Check with your preferred therapist where and how they work. When choosing a therapist remember that you don’t need to choose one in your city. Focus on their experience and whether you feel a good attraction or rapport with them.

The process is the same regardless of whether the session is in person or via Skype.

You can use a translator if you want to work with a therapist that does not speak your language. Or you can translate (or arrange a translator) for someone else who doesn’t speak our language.

It is preferred if the translator has some prior knowledge of Rose Method (such as having received a session previously). If that isn’t possible, then the translator and practitioner should speak beforehand to discuss translation of some key terminology.

Simon teaches extensively in Russia via translator and is very comfortable doing sessions via translator.

After a session you should feel very different when you think about the original problem or context that you worked on. There should be a new calmness and “resourcefulness.”

Rose Method sessions do not give a short-term euphoric state that is common for other techniques. We prefer a new stable permanent state rather than a short-term high.

The results of the session will be permanent. That means that within the context that you worked on, the problem wont come back. It is possible to experience a similar problem in a different context (one that you didn’t work on) because different emotional triggers may exist in different contexts.

In the very unlikely event that you feel a problem has come back in the same context, please contact your practitioner immediately. You will need to identify what was the emotional trigger (what happened just before the problem came back). In most cases the therapist will work with you at no further cost in order to ensure the results are permanent.

Many of our practitioners will offer a guarantee of results. You should clarify this before the start of the session. There are some things that can’t be guaranteed (specific physical changes) and some things that should be guaranteed (precise emotional changes). Unless otherwise specified, a guarantee is not a money back guarantee. Rather, we will keep working with you to fix the problem which we agreed to fix.

You may have a strong preference for a male or female therapist, or someone in your city rather than via Skype, or someone speaking your language rather than via translator. You can use the search features on the Therapist page to choose a therapist to your preferences. In the end the choice is intuitive – set the intention to choose the right therapist for you and choose the person you are drawn to. Write to that person and ask them what experience they have with your particular problem and how confident they are of success.

Cost may be a factor in choosing a therapist, but shouldn’t be the main factor. For example a very experienced therapist will charge more by the hour, but can get results much more quickly – often saving you money.

There are no side effects of a session with an experienced practitioner. The Rose Method does not cause a “healing crisis” – there is no reason why symptoms or feelings should get worse before they get better.

In extremely cases, there can be a form of adverse reaction after a session. This occurs where a trauma was triggered during the session but not resolved. This usually occurs where the client suddenly remembers a trauma but doesn’t mention it to the therapist. During the 24 hours after the session the client may be thinking about this remembered trauma and feel worse. This problem can be easily prevented – just tell the therapist what you’re feeling during the session. In the unlikely event that this occurs, please immediately contact the therapist. Do not wait until a scheduled follow up session. The problem can usually be fixed within minutes of speaking to a qualified therapist.

Rose Method is a complementary therapy. You are welcome to continue seeing any other therapist. You should in most cases tell the other therapists that you are also doing Rose Method as they will notice significant changes and they should understand the cause.

Emotional and spiritual changes are normally felt instantly. Physical changes are often instant but not always. You should expect pain levels to change instantly but acute conditions may require more time. Even if 3 or 4 sessions are required in total you should expect to feel different from the first session onwards. If you have any concerns about your results or your feelings after the session, please contact your therapist immediately.

Please contact your therapist immediately if you need to cancel a session. Most therapists require 24 hours’ notice for a cancellation, otherwise payment in full may be expected.

Most practitioners will ask you to specify precise intentions for the session beforehand. This includes specifying the symptoms and how you want to feel after the session. It is important to “pre-define success.” This means, before the session you should explain how you will know whether or not the session has been successful. Changes are often subtle (even very big changes) and that’s why success should be defined beforehand.

Some therapists will send you a questionnaire to fill in before the session. You should return this a day before the session. If the therapist sent you a list of your responsibilities before, during and after the session, you should read this and let the practitioner know if you have any concerns.

On the day of the session be sure to arrive early at the clinic’s address. If it is a Skype session, be sure that you have a quiet space and time (without children or pets interrupting you). Be sure that you have a reliable internet connection and that you have the practitioner’s Skype address and possibly mobile phone number as backup in case of internet problems.

One of the key benefits of Rose Method is that you don’t need to talk about your trauma. For example if you were abused, humiliated or experienced something embarrassing, you don’t need to tell the therapist any of it. This removes one of the key blocks that prevents people asking for help. You do need to tell the therapist that there was a trauma, e.g. “something bad happened when I was 10 years old.” You don’t need to say what happened or who did things to you. You will be asked to describe how the trauma made you feel, as the session works on changing these emotional states. If you are not comfortable to tell the therapist how you feel, it’s possible for you to just write it down on a piece of paper without telling the therapist.

The Rose Method works by guiding the client to the original cause of their problem (e.g. the reason why they attracted it, or inherited it). This means we almost never work on a problem or trauma itself. The thing that you’re afraid to talk about is just a symptom or starting position, not the real issue. That’s why Rose Method is so fast (we don’t waste time talking), so gentle (we don’t make you talk about painful things) and so effective (we heal the cause, not the symptom).

As a Client we expect certain responsibilities from you (consider this your contract with us):

  1. We need you to be honest with us. If we ask you about trauma in your life, it’s because we need you to acknowledge it. Sometimes it’s so personal or embarrassing that you don’t want to tell us. That’s OK, there’s a “work around”, but we need you to still acknowledge that there’s something there. If you suppress, deny or hide it we may not be able to help you.
  2. Be aware of self-sabotage patterns that could undermine the session. If you feel yourself avoiding the session, or having trouble hearing or understanding the practitioner, or trouble feeling your feelings, you must communicate this to the practitioner.
  3. Resolving your trauma is ultimately your responsibility. Though we will do everything in our power to help, the final step will be made by you. The decision to let go is your own – we can’t do it for you.
  4. After the session you have a choice whether or not to change your life. You can recreate old patterns if you choose to. It’s up to you to respond differently to your environment. For example if you issue is over-eating, we can work with you to remove all the emotional triggers to over eating. But it’s still up to you to look at your pantry and decide “I’m not going to do that.”

As your practitioner you have our guarantee that we will always act in a polite and professional manner. We will use all our training and experience to get the best possible result for you. We take confidentiality very seriously and we ll never share anything that you tell us. Even the fact that you have been our client is confidential and will not be shared without your permission. Our responsibility is to help you clear your emotional blocks during the session, and this responsibility ends at the end of the session, when we hand responsibility for making empowered changes over to you.

Courses

Rose Method is taught online and in a workshop (seminar) format by qualified instructors. We have seminars in a number of countries, taught in several languages. It is sometimes possible to learn Rose Method by private arrangement with an instructor, in person or online.

It is not possible to learn Rose Method during a private consultation where you are the client, because the client only sees a very small percentage of the process.

Most of the material from our Level 1 and 2 courses are available in online formats. These online courses give you the opportunity to experience the Rose Method from home.

Online courses are more convenient and have lower cost. However they are not a substitute for the in-person workshops. That’s because there are significant benefits from practising under the supervision of a qualified trainer. At our seminars there are always other people like you to practice with. You can ask the teacher for help at any time. This gives you confidence with the techniques before you go home from the course.

We would especially recommend the online courses to you if:

  • you’re looking for a low-cost entry point to learn about Rose Method;
  • you want specific information without having to commit the time to a longer seminar; or
  • for practical reasons (e.g. time, travel) you cannot attend our seminars;

If you have the time and resources to attend a seminar in person, it is a more comprehensive experience. Many people do some online courses first and, after getting positive results, attend a seminar – either repeating Level 1 and 2 in person or going straight to Level 3.

There is an in-between option. It is possible to privately learn online with a trainer (one on one or with two participants able to practice together). This is not a pre-recorded training, but a live seminar delivered online. This can combine the benefits of both online training and a supervised workshop. This normally costs more than the usual seminars because you are hiring a private trainer, but has advantages of personal tuition. You can enquire about this option directly with any teacher of your choice (see the Trainers page).

We have four levels, plus a teacher training course and occasional specialist applications such as the Manifesting and Abundance Course. The four levels are each very different. Here is a simple overview:

  • Level 1 teaches the core technique and basic structure. Most importantly it’s the de-armoring process and extended Triune Brain Method for clearing trauma. For more detailed information and videos, click here.
  • Level 2 teaches a new application of the technique known as Re-Conception. It’s way to rewrite the story of who you are and where you come from. Then a new approach to therapy known as the Key Developmental Event (KDE) process. It’s almost the reverse of the usual therapy model. Usually you start with a symptom and find the cause. With the KDE process you start with the known causes and find the beginning. It works because there are 10 key trigger points in your time line called developmental events which are responsible for a wide range of symptoms. Clearing these points will make a massive difference in your life and solve a wife range of problems. Finally the level 2 course teaches an application of the Level 1 technique known as the Emergence of the Soul. This exercise helps to stabilise the ego and release control issues. For more detailed information and videos, click here.
  • The Level 3 course is our most important course. On this course you learn the “meta-structure” of Rose Method. This is the way to construct a session in order to heal multiple problems. For example, a person may have physical symptoms, emotional problems and spiritual issues which all interact with each other. Most therapists cannot treat such problems because each session just treats a tiny piece of the problem. On Level 3 you learn to treat the entire client, to resolve complex problems in simple ways, achieving extra-ordinary results. This course is required in order to use Rose Method as a practitioner. For more detailed information and videos, click here.
  • The Level 4 course is an extension for advanced practitioners. It contains advanced processes for specialist situations (most notably the Tribal Block process) as well as a different way to apply Rose Method, using intuition and changes in the practitioner’s emotional state rather than words and techniques. For more detailed information and videos, click here.

All of the core Rose Method tools or techniques are taught on Level 1. This includes:

  • the acknowledgement process (the tool we use to heal trauma);the process for developing intuition and connection with a client;
  • the coherence process for clearing the mind and setting clear intentions;
  • the de-armoring process for removing self-sabotage and secondary gain;
  • the Triune Brain Method – a process for identifying the instincts holding a trauma in place; and
  • the time line process for finding the initial starting point or cause of the client’s symptoms.

The Level 1 course is extensive and complete – much more so than the beginner or Level 1 course of any other technique. After the Level 1 course you are able to practice the technique and achieve life changing results.

The Level 1 course does not qualify someone to use Rose Method as a therapist, nor does it cover the treatment of physical problems, or complex emotional problems such as co-dependent relationships, identity crises, ego and control issues, and other themes which are taught on the Level 2 and 3 courses.

The Level 2 and Level 3 courses are very different to Level 1, focusing much more on applications of the technique and different strategies for personal development and best-practice therapy.

No, you only need to take the levels relevant to you. That said, it is highly recommended to take Level 1 and 2 together (they are normally taught and offered as a package). It is ideal to take them in one 6-7 day block, or over consecutive weekends. After taking levels 1 and 2 you will have the complete picture of the technique. Level 3 is highly recommended for those wanting to work as practitioners or for personal development purposes. It is the application of the techniques taught in levels 1 and 2.

Only Level 3 graduates can use Rose Method as a practitioner.

Only qualified trainers, carefully chosen by Simon, are allowed to teach Rose Method. Please be aware that from time to time students of Rose Method (or earlier version of RPT) have taught unlicensed courses. This is not safe or recommended as they are not trained in the full knowledge and state required to teach this work. If you see a Rose Method or RPT course advertised, please check that the trainer is listed on this website. If not, please send us details of the course.

You can view a list of all our Trainers on the Trainer page. Each trainer has their own unique background and experience. You can use the filter settings to find a Trainer in your city or country, speaking your language or teaching the course you are interested in. If there is more than one trainer teaching in your city, you might choose the trainer whose profile you are most drawn to. You can also write to each trainer with questions and see how they respond.

On each trainer profile you will see a star rating (up to five stars). This is based on the level of training achieved. A new trainer with limited experience will have a lower star rating. This doesn’t mean that they are a bad trainer, just new. Trainers gain experience by teaching more courses and furthering their own education (such as becoming a trainer of the Manifesting Course or RPT-3). This experience is reflected in a higher star rating. Positive or negative feedback received by our office may affect the trainer’s rating.

In general, about 50-60% of students on a course are therapists (psychologists, NLP coaches and a mix of other therapies). The remaining 40-50% are there for personal development or because of a desire to become a therapist.

Please see our Schedule page for a list of seminars. You can filter it by location and language.

If there is no course yet in your area, you have three options. You can travel to a convenient city for a course; you can request a course to be brought to your area, or you can request a private online course. We are always looking for suitable promoters of Rose Method in new cities so if you can help us, or recommend us to a promoter in your city, we will come to you. Please see the FAQ page regarding sponsoring a course.

Promoting a Rose Method Seminar

You can arrange a seminar in your area by becoming a promoter or assisting us to find a suitable promoter in your area.

The first step is to choose a Trainer who will be the best person for your area (based on language or cultural factors). If you want to invite Simon Rose, you should write to us here. You may write to any other trainer via their profile page.

The organizer or promoter of a Rose Method course has the primary responsibility to:

  • Find a suitable venue for the seminar
  • Advertise the seminar to the type of people likely to attend
  • Register enough people for a successful seminar
  • Arrange for translation (if necessary)
  • Print materials and arrange for hosting of the trainer and whatever else is required.

The commercial terms are a matter for negotiation between the individual trainer and promoter (as each have their own requirements). However as an example, the commercial arrangement is commonly as follows:

  • The revenues from the course are shared equally (50/50) between promoter and trainer
  • The promoter pays for the marketing, room rental, translation, printing and other miscellaneous costs
  • The trainer pays for their own transport and accommodation or travel costs

Becoming a Rose Method trainer

Rose Method is taught by qualified trainers, chosen by Simon, under a licence agreement.

After competing Level 4 you may choose to undertake a teacher training course. At the end of this course, you can chose to undertake an assessment. This requires you to give a presentation of Rose Method material and a demonstration of a Rose Method session, among other requirements. The best candidates will be offered a licence to become trainers.

Please note that participation in the course does not guarantee that you will become a trainer. Only the best participants become trainers. You need to work hard on the course to demonstrate your competency as a trainer.

Those candidates who are not successful on the course will be offered a second chance. You will be given a list of exercises to practice before requesting a second assessment.

The Teacher Training course includes advanced material on how to work with the energy and state of a room and group, how to lead group exercises, how to teach Rose Method and how to conduct a demonstration. Due to the relative short (6 days) nature of the course, it is not a full training in presentation skills. There is so much that you can learn about being a confident speaker or trainer and we do recommend that you continue your training with these type of courses. The teacher training is specialised in the skills required to be a great Rose Method trainer.

The initial certification allows you to teach Levels 1 and 2. After some experience teaching these courses you can apply for permission to teach other courses (Rose Method Upgrade courses, Level 3 and manifesting courses).
